Determine Your Child's Program
Program placement follows a December 31 age cutoff. Children may enter Nursery Ones beginning at 12 months, followed by Nursery Twos and our mixed-age Casa program for Preschool and Kindergarten. Use our Age Cutoffs chart to determine when your child is eligible to begin at Battery Park Montessori and which program corresponds with their date of birth.
If your child’s birthday falls close to a cutoff, we are happy to discuss the appropriate timing and placement during the admissions process.

Visiting Battery Park Montessori is an important step in the admissions process and the best way to get a feel for our school and community. Join us for an Open House or campus tour to explore our classrooms, meet members of our team, and learn more about our trilingual Montessori approach.

Applications to Battery Park Montessori are submitted through Ravenna. Complete the online application and submit the non-refundable $100 application fee to begin the admissions process. If you have questions about the application, our Admissions Team is here to help at admissions@greenivy.com.
Application deadline: December 2 for Priority Admissions and January 15 for Regular Admissions.

For Nursery Twos through Casa applicants, we look forward to getting to know your child as part of the admissions process. Families may be invited to schedule a play visit at Battery Park Montessori or submit short videos of their child through Ravenna. Our play visits are designed to be comfortable and age-appropriate, giving your child an opportunity to explore while helping our team get to know them. Nursery Ones applicants do not participate in a play visit or submit a student video.

The final step in the admissions process is a conversation with our Head of School, offering an opportunity to get to know your family and answer your questions about Battery Park Montessori.
Nursery Ones: Parents/guardians and their child attend a Family Meeting together.
Nursery Twos through Casa: parents/guardians attend a Parent Meeting without their child, following the child’s play visit or video. This conversation is a chance to talk about your child, what you’re looking for in their early school experience, and whether BPM feels like the right fit for your family.

Battery Park Montessori offers two admissions rounds: Priority Admissions and Regular Admissions. We encourage families to apply as early as possible. All applications and required admissions steps are completed through Ravenna.

Applications received after these deadlines may be considered on a rolling basis as space permits.
Admissions Decisions
Once your application is complete and all required admissions materials have been received, our Admissions Committee carefully reviews each applicant.
Admissions decisions are released through Ravenna according to our admissions timeline. Families offered admission will also receive enrollment instructions through Ravenna.
To secure placement, families have one week from the date of their offer to submit a signed financial agreement and non-refundable deposit. For Early Decision families, this must be completed by December 14; after that date, unconfirmed applications will move to the Regular Decision pool so we can make space available for other families.

School Year 2026–27
Our 2026/2027 deadlines have passed. However, we maintain an active waitlist that may continue to move throughout the summer and into the start of the school year. Families interested in applying for this fall should contact Marien Martinez at admissions@greenivy.com.
