Creativity is part of everyday learning at Battery Park Montessori, giving students opportunities to express ideas, develop technique, collaborate, perform, and grow in confidence.

Art is part of the prepared classroom environment and Cultural Studies curriculum. Children explore line, shape, color, pattern, and composition while learning to use and care for creative materials. Time to observe, experiment, repeat, and revise strengthens fine motor control, visual attention, self-expression, and confidence.

Songs, rhythm, and movement are woven throughout classroom life, with music specialists providing additional opportunities to listen, imitate, keep a beat, and sing together. Songs and rhymes in English, Mandarin, and Spanish reinforce sound, vocabulary, and comprehension through repetition while encouraging joyful participation.
