Careers

At Battery Park Montessori, educators create the calm, purposeful classrooms in which young children feel secure, become more independent, and discover what they can do. As an American Montessori Society (AMS) Verified School serving children ages 1 through 5, our work brings Montessori education together with trilingual immersion in English, Mandarin, and Spanish. We welcome thoughtful early childhood educators who observe carefully, work collaboratively, and bring warmth and intention to each day.

Our School Culture

Battery Park Montessori is a place where children and adults are known, respected, and supported. Educators work closely across languages and classrooms, sharing observations, reflecting on their practice, and helping one another respond to the children in their care. Our culture is:

  • Child-centered: We observe each child closely, respect their individual pace, and support their growing independence.
  • Collaborative: Teachers work together to create a consistent classroom experience across English, Mandarin, and Spanish.
  • Reflective: We welcome thoughtful feedback, continued learning, and new ideas that strengthen our work with children.
  • Purposeful: Classroom decisions are grounded in child development, Montessori principles, and the needs of the children in front of us.

OUR COMMUNITY

Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging

Our children, families, and educators bring different languages, cultures, identities, and experiences to school. That diversity is present in everyday classroom life and in the relationships that form across our community.

We want every child and adult to feel known, respected, and comfortable contributing their perspective. This requires listening carefully, treating one another with consideration, and creating room for different experiences and ways of understanding the world.
